The display and screen size is important. you’ll want a resolution that allows you to watch video in 720p and 1080p. This means you can watch YouTube in these resolutions and swap between them in the video playback options. A bigger screen also means you can share it with friends and family when watching YouTube on your tablet.

The display can be IPS, like the Fire HD or Apple tablets. However, iPad’s tend to have a “retina” display which means you will have a more crisp viewing experience due to the technology behind it. when I tested these tablets the iPad did have a more noticeable improvement in display, but the cost was significantly higher and the Fire tablet was capable enough to run YouTube.

The battery life is something that is easily overlooked when choosing a tablet to use for video consumption. You don’t want to buy a tablet that you will have to worry about charging every few hours. A battery life of at least 8 hours is important for watching videos and using YouTube on your tablet. Think about how much you’ll use the tablet before choosing a model that has long battery life.

The battery capacity is also important when using your tablet for YouTube and video consumption. The battery life can be quite short in cheaper tablets, so when on the go make sure you have a charger with you.
