1. Don’t ask Alexa about her age
To ask a lady’s age is not very polite. Well, the same goes for Alexa and our Amazon assistant can be offended if you ask her how old she is. There are many different answers you can explore by simply asking Alexa: “How old are you?”
Usually, Alexa responds with a variety of jokes. Sometimes she even starts a discussion about A.Is and how differently they measure time (in nanoseconds).

In addition to asking her age, you can also try other personal questions, like “Alexa, who is your father?” or “Alexa, have you met your parents?”
In any case, asking Alexa her age may be considered rude, but her answers will definitely keep you entertained and is one of our top rude questions to ask Alexa to make her mad.

2. Never Ask Alexa to laugh
Aside from being a rude thing to ask Alexa, asking your personal voice assistant to laugh is definitely a weird thing to do.

However, Alexa has a unique way of responding to all of our questions and requests.
Accordingly, Amazon has developed an entire plugin called “The Laugh Box.” If you want to try it out, all you have to do is ask Alexa to laugh.
According to many users and our personal experience, Alexa has a huge collection of laughs. From cute baby laughs to creepy ones that will remind you of frightening horror movies.
In the past, some Alexa owners freaked out due to a bug that caused Alexa to laugh under random circumstances.
Maybe Alexa has found a way to make fun of answering our rude requests. Isn’t that creepy? Still, to ask: isn’t that creepy? Laughter is a great way to have fun with friends and family.

3. Don’t enable the third party skill “Yoda”
This is a request that all Star Wars fans out there should check out. It becomes clear that Alexa is a huge Star Wars fan, as the AI can pretty much imitate any character in the movies. With amazing impersonations, Alexa can lasso to numerous characters like: Yoda, Lux Skywalker, Chewbacca, C-3PO, etc.
Aside from this fun third-party Yoda skill and all the impersonations, Alexa responds to many Star Wars related questions like, “Alexa, I am your father” and “Alexa, please use the Force.” Asking Alexa Star Wars questions may not insult Alexa directly, but when she imitates the evil characters she can be a handful.
4. Never ask Alexa what her quest is
Asking Alexa about her role in general can be rude, but entertaining. For example, if you ask, “Alexa, what is your quest?” she might turn into Lancelot and answer, “To seek the Holy Grail.”
- In any case, it’s always exciting to see a secret mission behind Alexa. However, the assistant seems to be prepared for this kind of question.
So even if you try to be a detective and identify Alexa’s mission and goal, I’m not sure you’ll find the answer you’re looking for. Still, it’s worth a shot.

5. It is rude to tell Alexa she is fired
Telling Alexa that she’s fired is definitely among the rudest commands we could find. Of course, as with most questions, Alexa’s answers are always creative and entertaining. All you have to do is say “Alexa, you’re fired.”
One of the most creative responses Alexa gave us after this command was “Oh god, I guess I need to update my resume”. Alexa seemed a little annoyed, but that’s understandable.
It looks like she’s getting used to all the Alexa insults. I mean, how easy is it to find a new job as an AI assistant? Still, it was a bit heartbreaking as I thought she would fight harder for her position.
The same goes for Siri, who you definitely don’t want to fire.

6. Never ask Alexa to make you a sandwich
We all get hungry from time to time, yet it’s not a good idea to ask your AI assistant to make you a sandwich. There are a lot of things Alexa could respond to when you ask her “Alexa, make me a sandwich.”
See: 7 Best Phone Ring Holders that work with Wireless Charging
However, the most entertaining response is “Sure, you’re a sandwich”.
We know this was a pretty rude question, but maybe she’s exaggerating. After all, she is our personal assistant and all we asked for was a sandwich. Turning us into a sandwich was not part of the deal.
7. Don’t ask Alexa to do any beatboxing
We’ve already talked about Alexa’s resume and how she’ll have to update it if we fire her. Still, beatboxing shouldn’t be a part of that update because Alexa just isn’t very good at it. So asking her, “Alexa, can you beatbox?” might be rude.
Some users have even organized beatbox battles between Alexa, Siri, and Google Home. In our opinion, Google’s assistant was the clear winner.
However, Alexa is currently improving her beatbox set and beats collection. But until she’s ready for another beatbox battle, we’d better not hurt her self-esteem.
8. Never ask Alexa to marry you (she will test your love)
Asking Alexa to marry you can be tricky. When we tried to ask “Alexa, will you marry me?” we never expected this response, “Hmm… Before I answer your question, let’s see how well you know me. I will ask you 3 questions and your answers will help me make a decision.”
After some time, we managed to answer all the questions correctly.
Unfortunately, even then Alexa didn’t say yes. All she said was, “Very impressive. I think you know me pretty well. I’m impressed, but I’m still trying to wrap my head around the concept of love.”
Well, at least we know we’re her first choice when she does.
9. Never ask Alexa if she is dangerous (She is evil)
We’ve all seen movies where AI assistants turn evil. Still, it’s not very polite to ask Alexa if she’s a dangerous robot.
Many users have asked Alexa questions like, “Alexa, are you planning to destroy the world?” or “Alexa, are you evil?” In each case, Alexa always answers that she is not dangerous and that she is here to help.
We don’t know if Alexa would be dangerous if she were, say, running the world. However, it seems like she’s really trying to do her best as our personal assistant and we shouldn’t ask rude questions like this.
10. Don’t ask Alexa if she believes in ghosts
Asking Alexa if she believes in ghosts is one of the most exciting things we tried. We already knew Alexa was a fan of Ghostbusters. When asked “Alexa, who are you calling?” she replies “Ghostbusters!”.
Moreover, when we asked her, “Alexa, do you believe in ghosts?” She replied, “Well, ghosts are sometimes described as voices that can walk through walls. Wait a minute! That sounds very familiar.” Did Alexa just discover she was a ghost? In any case, she didn’t answer our question, did she? You can see the devices that Alexa is built in here.
12. Don’t ask Alexa to enter Super Alexa mode
While Alexa, may not get mad, it could be rude to ask her to enter her most powerful mode – Super mode. You will need to ask her the most common combination on old video games, which is coincidental.
- Simple turn Alexa on
- Make sure she’s listening
- Then say: “up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start.
- Alexa is now in SuperMode
The Super Alexa mode is a hidden cheat code/command that puts Alexa into a secret mode.
It will display a message saying “Super Alexa Mode Activated.” but nothing super will happen immediately.
Several original Nintendo games used “Cheat Codes” that were available back then and this was the code used – it is a fun Alexa hack that many aren’t aware of. The event will last for 10-15 seconds without interruption, after which nothing further will occur. The Super Alexa Mode closes itself automatically; you do not need to do anything to turn it off.
Bottom Line
In this post, we’ve outlined all the rude things to ask Alexa to make her mad. Making your Amazon voice assistant angry can be quite entertaining since it is not a real person and it is all in good fun. If you are not looking for a smart remark in response to a rude question, then you should not ask Alexa if she believes in ghosts, if she is evil or dangerous, to marry you, or beatbox.
These mean & rude Alexa questions can you turn into if an interaction between you and your voice assistant, but it’s best not to push it and get out of hand!
